The cleanest way to clear brush
A forestry mulcher is a tracked carrier with a spinning drum of carbide teeth on the front. It takes brush and trees down to the ground and turns them into a layer of mulch in a single pass, so there is nothing to pile, burn or truck away.
That mulch is the point. It shades the soil, holds moisture, slows erosion on slopes and keeps weeds down while grass comes back. Because nothing is burned, mulching also keeps working during county burn bans.

Forestry Mulching questions
What happens to the mulch?
It stays on the ground as a protective layer and breaks down over the following seasons, feeding the soil and helping grass return.
Will the brush grow back?
Ashe juniper cut below its lowest green branch does not resprout. Mesquite, yaupon and huisache do, so we can plan a light follow-up pass or show you how to keep it in check.
Can you mulch around oak trees?
Yes, carefully. Oak wilt spreads through fresh wounds, so from February through June we keep the machine off oak roots and trunks and paint any accidental wound right away.
Is mulching allowed during a burn ban?
Yes. Nothing is burned, so mulching is one of the few ways to keep clearing when your county has a burn ban in place.
